Jennifer Chin is a multi disciplinary visual artist based in Toronto, ON. Canada. Throughout her practice, she has investigated ideas of excess, attraction, repulsion, danger, and consumption through a variety of mediums including video, sculpture, and photography. She has exhibited her work in screenings and exhibitions across North America and has been the recipient of several scholarships, grants and awards including: an Emerging Visual Artist Grant from the Ontario Arts Council; the Louis Odette Sculpture award; and a Visual Arts Scholarship from the Banff Centre for the Arts. In addition to her studio practice she is an instructor at the Avenue Road Arts School in Toronto, and leads youth focused community based arts programs through a variety of community arts organizations including Vibe Arts (formerly AFCY) in Toronto.
